Candidates record a short video introducing themselves. This gives us a real sense of their professionalism, communication style, and how they'd present in your home before we ever speak with them.

We contact every professional reference provided. We ask specific questions about reliability, trustworthiness, and work quality. Vague or unverifiable references are an automatic disqualifier.

10-Minute Phone Screen

A structured phone interview with a member of the TotalCare team. We evaluate communication skills, reliability track record, and whether the candidate's values align with the TotalCare standard.

Values and Judgment Assessment

Candidates are presented with real-world home service scenarios and asked how they approach them. A client's pet, a fragile item, a last-minute preference. We are looking for the kind of judgment and care that cannot be taught.

We verify government-issued photo ID for every professional. We confirm the identity matches the application and cross-reference all information provided before moving to the background check stage.

What if I'm not home during the clean?

Many of our clients aren't home. You can provide entry instructions through your booking account. Every professional has been identity-verified and background-checked so you can feel confident leaving them in your home.

What happens if something is damaged?

Contact us within 24 hours and we handle it immediately. Our $1 million liability policy covers accidental damage. We have never left a client responsible for something that happened during a TotalCare clean.

Can I request a different professional?

Are your professionals employees or contractors?
